There are also those who are fascinated by the idea of treasures hidden beneath the ground, those who exaggerate the miraculous powers of saints and holy figures, those who believe in amulets and talismans, and those who are terrified of envy and evil spirits. They are also those who believe in stories about the afterlife, who take ancient prophecies seriously, and those who believe in spiritual blessings that bring positive energy. There are also those who cling to numbers and other symbols believed to bring good luck. I heard these wonderful stories from the people in my village when I was young. I used them as raw material for my literary works, hoping to keep them alive and continue to be told from generation to generation.They are “immaterial” things, yet they exist within the lines of written words. In the end, they become part of my novels—novels about these wonderful, astonishing stories, filled with passion, terror, illusion, inspiration, and hope. Seventy stories about hidden worlds… Perhaps the reader will discover, along with these stories, the richness of the imagination of our people, who have told these stories over thousands of years.
