This is a new book in the field of monotheism. The renowned author, Ahmad Bihajt, decided to write about God, the Most High and Most Blessed, in the context of Islamic faith. He noticed that most contemporary books written about God focus on the development of the concept of God in human minds, starting from the origins of pagan worship and ending with monotheistic religions. This means that these books do not describe God as He describes Himself in His own words. Instead, they describe how humans perceive God. There is a huge difference between these two concepts. Therefore, there was a great need for books of a new kind—books that can serve as a valuable source of information about God, based on the principles of Islamic faith, the teachings of the Quran, and the words of the Prophets and those who have studied the traditions of the saints. Such books can help readers to develop a deep love for God, trust in His mercy, and have hope in His forgiveness. Ahmad Bihajt’s goal with this book was to create a contemporary work that explores the concept of monotheism.After writing this book, the author wondered: Do we really need books on the science of monotheism? He recalled what our scholars have written about books related to monotheism. Professor Muhammad Al-Ghazali said that the books on monotheism that are widely available today, and some of which are even taught by students in religious institutions, have failed to fulfill their mission in both form and content. These books are filled with complex terminology and difficult language, reflecting the decline of Arabic language during the Turkish occupation. These books also rely heavily on philosophical terms and ways of thinking. Moreover, they fail to address the spiritual aspect of Muslims. Professor Malik bin Nabi believes that we need a new approach to understanding religion, one that combines spirituality and rationality, and that reconnects us with God. In this book, he attempts to fill this gap. Man makes efforts with the help of God, and it is God who ultimately provides the fruits of his labor. In his preface, Professor Ahmad Bihajt says, “I know it is bold to write about God in such a way…” But what can we do if God created the ability for people to love and write?
