“I am your companion—the Quran itself.” This is not just a simple word spoken by a person who acknowledges his friendship and love for you. It is a symbol of honor, a sign of joy, a promise of safety… a herald of the highest paradise of contentment. No longer shall you fear or be sorrowful! You will be in a state of glory and security. The Prophet said, “The Quran will meet its companion on the Day of Judgment. When his grave opens up, it will appear like a pale man. He will ask, ‘Do you recognize me?’ The person will reply, ‘I don’t know you.’ Then he will say, ‘I am your companion—the Quran itself.’ I have brightened your days in darkness, and I have kept you safe through the night. You are like every merchant who does business behind the scenes of trade… and today, you are the merchant behind all trades.”He was said to be given the kingdom with his right hand, and eternal life with his left hand. A crown of honor was placed on his head. His parents wore two crowns, and no people in the world could stand against them. They would ask, “Why have we been crowned like this?” And it was replied, “Because you have made your children read the Quran.” Then it was said to him, “Read and recite verses in the gardens of paradise.” He continued to recite these verses, no matter what they were, until he reached the highest level.
