The story of the novel follows the life of Ibn Sina during his imprisonment in the fortress of Fardkhan, located in central Iran, at that time. The novel tells the story of Ibn Sina in a literary manner, where reality blends with fictional elements. It begins with his birth in the year 370 Hijri, in a family consisting of a Afghan father and a Khwarezmian mother (now Uzbekistan). The story describes his life in Central Asia, followed by his settlement and death in the Persian region. The last half of his life was spent in Rey (now Tehran), Hamadan, and Isfahan.
