Razzaq can be divided into three levels. The first level is general razzaq—acceptance of Allah as one’s Lord, and willingness to serve none other than Him. The second level is acceptance of Allah Almighty; this acceptance involves accepting everything that Allah has decreed and arranged. This is one of the primary paths of those who follow the Sufi way. This level is valid only if the state of the slave is consistent with Allah’s will, if there is no conflict between the slave and the creation, and if the slave is sincere and eager in his actions. The third level is acceptance of Allah Almighty’s own desires. In this case, the slave does not see any reason to resent or accept anything on his own behalf. This leads him to abandon control over decisions, to eliminate discrimination, and to accept everything without any preference. Although this book is small in size and simple in language, it remains one of the most important books of Sufism. The author of this book is the great Imam, Abu Ismail al-Ansari al-Harawi, a leader of Khorasan from the lineage of the Prophet Abu Ayyub al-Ansari. He is one of the most important figures in Sufism.Born in the year 396 of the Islamic calendar, the “Small Sufi Library” consists of a series of essential and important books on Sufism. These books are small in size, easy to read, and simple in language. They appeal to those who are drawn to wisdom, asceticism, and Sufism—but not to those who prefer larger volumes or complex explanations. The covers and internal layout of these books are both attractive, blending traditional elements with modern design in a elegant and simple manner. The size of the books makes them ideal for carrying in a handbag or pocket.
