This is a new book on the concept of monotheism. I noticed that most of the contemporary books written about God discuss the development of the idea of God in human minds, from the origins of pagan worship to the advent of monotheistic religions. This means that these books do not describe God as He describes Himself in His own words. Instead, they describe how humans perceive God. There is a huge difference between these two descriptions. Although we respect the methods used in comparative studies of religions, and we also respect the approach of tracking the development of the idea of God over time, we feel that there is a need for books that approach this topic from a new perspective. A perspective that is worthy of being written about God, based on the realities of Islamic faith, the teachings of the Quran as a fundamental source of knowledge, and the words of the Prophet Muhammad, His companions, and those who have attained spiritual understanding. Such a perspective would help readers to connect with God, to trust in His mercy, and to have hope in His forgiveness.
