The story of “The Musician of Letters” was born in 2003, during the time when Baghdad fell and the Iraqis began to suffer. The author, Rufus, wanted to tell a different story about Iraq, its people, and its forgotten culture in the midst of war. It’s a wonderful story about Ali, who lives in Baghdad, loves football, loud music… but what he really loves is Arabic calligraphy. A story about the beauty of Arabic calligraphy and the spread of peace culture.
